Response to Office Action
Dear Commissioner:
In response to the Office Action, please amend the above-identified application as set forth below and consider the following remarks.
Amendments to the Claims
The following listing of claims replaces all prior versions and listings of claims in the application:
1. (Currently Amended)
A method for managing a loan origination process, the method comprising: by a chat manager, in response to receiving a message from a user conversation, extracting borrower details and loan conditions; using a task library to generate tasks according to the current loan status including AUS findings, wherein the task library is dynamically updated based on the current loan status and the AUS findings; and displaying a system-generated response to the user that directs subsequent steps in the loan process, wherein the AUS findings are mapped to system conditions to update the task library.
2. (Original)
[claim text unchanged]
Remarks
Applicant respectfully traverses the rejection of claims 1-5 under 35 U.S.C. 103 over Agarwal in view of Masson. As amended, independent claim 1 recites a task library that is dynamically updated based on the current loan status and the AUS findings, and the mapping of AUS findings to system conditions to update that task library. Claims 2-5 depend from claim 1.
The Examiner relies on Masson (paragraph 16) to supply the dynamic task-library limitation. The cited passage of Masson, however, describes a STATIC repository of pre-developed lending strategies, finalized in advance based on strategy performance and optional manual changes. Masson does not disclose a task library that dynamically generates tasks in response to the current loan status, much less one updated from AUS findings. The Examiner's mapping rests on the word library shared between the reference and the claim, not on any structural or functional equivalence.
The Examiner has also not articulated why a person of ordinary skill would restructure Masson's static strategy repository into the dynamic, status-responsive generator the claims require. The stated rationale (improving strategy quality and reducing team coordination) is generic and result-oriented; it supplies no reasoning with rational underpinning as required by KSR Int'l Co. v. Teleflex Inc., 550 U.S. 398, 418 (2007). Even if combined, neither reference discloses the iterative loop in which AUS findings are mapped to system conditions to update the task library. Withdrawal of the rejection is respectfully requested.
